After a below par showing on Friday night, other results went Aber’s way over the weekend meaning that Neville Powell’s men remain in sixth place in the JD Welsh Premier League, and with four games to go their fate is in their own hands.
Powell told Aber Town’s Youtube Channel on Friday night: “Were still in a strong position, we’ve still got it all to play for, and we’re still fighting for a Top Six place”.
Town now need to harness the vibrancy and intensity shown in the home wins over Bala and TNS, and the devastating attacking punch shown in last minute victories at Bala and Cardiff Met, to make the cut on January 12th.
You have a huge part to play – the super singing Black and Green supporters have kept faith throughout Aber’s journey to the brink of a great achievement, and danced celebrations with the Players as well at key moments on that voyage.
Join the Green Army for the four remaining key games before the split as follows:
Wednesday 26th December Newtown (HOME) KO 2.30pm
Sunday 30th December Newtown (Away) KO 2.30pm
Friday 4th January Connah’s Quay Nomads (HOME) KO 7.45pm
Saturday 12th January Barry Town United (Away) KO 7.30pm
Merry Christmas to all our supporters from Aberystwyth Town FC!
