ATFC EXCLUSIVE: LOCAL TALENT CLEDAN RETURNS TO PARK AVENUE
Updated 11 Jun : 20:34 by admin
Aberystwyth Town Football Club can today confirm the signing of former player Cledan Davies from Welsh Premier League rivals Carmarthen Town.

The youngster started his career with Tregaron Turfs before being snapped up by Brian Coyne in 2009 after a string of impressive displays during pre-season. Davies made 10 (+14) appearances for the Seasiders during the 2009/10 season, and got on the score sheet once.

The left sided player was then loaned out to Cymru Alliance side Penrhyncoch at the end of August 2010, but during his time at Cae Baker, he suffered an horrific ankle injury, which ruled him out for the rest of the season.

After failing to establish himself in Alan Morgan's side, the Tregaron youngster then made a move to Carmarthen at the start of the 2011/12 season. For much of the campaign, Davies was utilized in an unfamiliar role of left back, and he managed to rack up 28 starts (+2) and scored two goals in the process, as the Old Gold survived relegation after Neath were refused a licence.

The club are happy to be able to add another talented local player to the ranks, and atfc.org.uk will be bringing you an exclusive interview with Cledan in the next few days.
