O las i wyrdd: Rico yn ymuno ar ddiwrnod cloi! / Blue to Green: Rico joins on Deadline Day!

Mae CPD Tref Aberystwyth yn falch i gyhoeddi arwyddiad Rico Patterson ar ddiwrnod cloi y ffenestr trosglwyddo, yn amodol ar glirhâd rhyngwladol. Chwaraewr ifanc canol-cae yn gynt o Birmingham City, mae Rico yn ymuno ar gytundeb nes Ionawr 2025.

Aberystwyth Town FC are delighted to confirm the Deadline Day signing of Rico Patterson, subject to international clearance. The ex-Birmingham City youth midfielder joins Town on an initial 6-month deal until January 2025.

Hailing from Birmingham, 20-year-old Rico ascended through the youth ranks with the Blues and became a stand-out with the U18s as skipper, later featuring regularly for the U21s alongside talents such as Jordan James and Jobe Bellingham. He was awarded a professional deal ahead of the 2022/23 season and was extended again through the 2023/24 season, where he spent the latter stages of the season on-loan at National League North side Rushall Olympic.

Following his release this summer, Rico joins up with the Black and Greens and makes the move to the JD Cymru Premier.

“I’m delighted to bring Rico in from Birmingham City as an exciting talent with top pedigree. Everything I’ve seen from him and the recommendations from the head of recruitment at Birmingham and others have been very positive and have identified him as a real prospect.

He’ll come into the squad and work his way into the team to give us strength in depth in midfield and slightly further forward, and I think he’ll be an entertaining and valuable addition to our squad as he finds his feet in senior football.”
