Uwchgynghrair JD Cymru Premier Gwener/Friday 13 Medi/September (CG/KO 7.45yh/pm) Tref y Bala Town v Tref Aberystwyth Town Bydd Tref Aber yn gobeithio am fwy o lwc nos Wener y trydydd ar ddeg wrth iddynt deithio i wynebu Tref y Bala mewn derbi lleol yn y Cymru Prem. Aber Town will be hoping for a more fortunate outcome on Friday the thirteenth as they travel to face local rivals Bala Town in a Cymru Premier derby. The Black and Greens were out of sorts on Saturday as a home defeat to Flint Town United was televised on S4C. However while the visitors were more clinical, Aber did create enough chances on the day to ensure they travel to Maes Tegid in good spirits, on a night when a positive result would be a real boost ahead of a hectic Autumn schedule.
John Owen’s sumptuous strike against Connahs Quay was chosen as Gol y Mis on Sgorio at the weekend, and the Bala resident will be hoping to make an impact on his hometown club, as he did in last year’s game when his goal gave Aber their first League win of the season at the end of September. Bala have seen a huge overhaul of players over the past two seasons, nevertheless Colin Caton’s side ensured an excellent third place finish in 2023/24. They also took revenge on the Black and Greens with two victories at Park Avenue last November, with late winners in the League and Welsh Cup competitions. Despite the Lakesiders falling to defeats in their last two home games Cymru Premier mainstays such as Nathan Peate, Aeron Edwards and Naim Arsan remain in Black and White, and George Newell is second top scorer in the Cymru Prem with three goals to date. Maes Tegid can be found on Castle St with a postcode of LL23 7UY. Admission costs are £7 for Adults, £4 for Concessions and £1 for Under 16's. Kick off at Maes Tegid is 7.45pm: don’t be late!
