Fresh from securing Aber's first ever appearance in the Nathaniel MG Cup final, Antonio Corbisiero and his team head to North Wales on Wednesday night for an important league match against Flint Town United. Saturday’s victory against Cardiff City has given the club a real boost and the Black & Green faithful are now eagerly looking forward to the final, which will be against The New Saints at Newtown’s Latham Park on Friday 28th February.
In the meantime, attention turns back to the league with Aber looking to build on victories against Caernarfon Town and Newtown in recent weeks and climb the table. Wednesdays opposition ended a run of 4 straight league defeats in their last game with a 2-1 victory against Briton Ferry Llansawel. They current sit in 10th position in the table and have accumulated 14 points from 17 games. Elliot Reeves is Flint’s danger man, having bagged 5 goals already this season. It was Reeves who needed both goals when Flint were victorious at Aberystwyth University Park Avenue earlier in the season. Joshua Jones has also netted three times so far this campaign. Following Wednesday’s match, Aber have a quick turnaround as Caernarfon Town visit Ceredigion on Saturday. The Black & Greens then take a two and a half week hiatus before hosting Bala Town on Boxing Day. Flint Town United’s Essity Stadium can be found by following postcode CH6 5PJ. Flint’s website offers the following travel advice: The stadium sits on the banks of the Dee Estuary, a short walk away from Flint Castle. You’ll find a car park near the RNLI Lifeboat Station. Once that fills up, we ask you to be respectful about where you park. Try to consider those living locally and avoid blocking any driveways, streets or access roads. If you can, come on foot or on the train. It’ll make your journey home easier and give you some eco-credentials too. Green Army … it’s time to hit the road again! Comments are closed.
