Uwchgynghrair Cymru JD Cymru Premier Mawrth/Tuesday 3 Medi/September (CC/KO 7.45yh/pm) Y Seintiau Newydd/TNS v Tref Aber Town Mae Aber yn teithio i Sir Awmythig nos yfory i wynebu'r Seintiau Newydd, sydd newydd enill eu lle yng Nghynghriar Cyngres UEFA. ATFC travel to Shropshire this coming Tuesday to face UEFA Conference League qualifiers The New Saints. Tuesday’s hosts created history last week by becoming the first ever Cymru Premier club to reach the league / group stage of any European competition, and the reward for their endeavours is six further matches, including games against Italian giants Fiorentina and the famous Greek club Panathinaikos. Due their exploits in Europe, The New Saints have only played one league match so far this season, beating Flint Town Utd 4-1 away on 16th August, and this game was was re-scheduled from last Friday as a result of the UEFA Conference League Fourth Qualifying Round fixture against Panevezys.
The New Saints 2024/25 squad has a familiar look to it, with stalwarts such as Blaine Hudson, Adrian Cieslewicz, Ben Clark and former Aber loanee Connor Roberts all still regulars at Park Hall. Two more former Park Avenue loanees, Jake Canavan and Ben Woollam, are also getting game time this season at Park Hall. The New Saints won both meetings between the two clubs last season, as they went unbeaten throughout the entire league campaign, drawing only twice in 32 games. Although Aber haven’t registered a win away to Tuesday’s opponents in a long time, they have sprung the occasional surprise against this opposition in recent years. A late John Owen goal secured a 1-0 victory back in November 2021, whilst a young Lee Jenkins was the matchwinner a couple of seasons earlier, both at Aberystwyth University Park Avenue.
