Glyndwr spent 17 years in Aber Town's midfield through the 1990s and 2000s through a succession of Managers and teams. He was in many ways a unique player, and a huge favourite with Aberystwyth Town Supporters who respected his one club WPL career. A winger with a thrilling greyhound like burst of pace, his flying mop of hair meant that he was recognised and admired throughout the country following 375 Welsh Premier League appearances and 105 goals for Aber between 1994 and 2013. Glyndwr, or "Paddy" as he was known, also played for Aber Town in the UEFA Inter Toto Cup in both 1999 and 2004 and scored when selected for Wales' Semi Professional side. After retiring for Aber in 2013, he went on to play for his beloved local club Bont FC and was recently nominated by the Daily Post as one of the WPL's 10 Best Ever Midfielders.
Last week we revealed Meirion Appleton and Tomi Morgan as our two Managers, and Donald Kane and Kevin Morrison as the first two Green Legends. We will be revealing further names this week.
