Aberystwyth Town Football Club are delighted to unveil a special replica of the iconic shirt worn during the Club’s 1999 UEFA Intertoto Cup campaign against Floriana FC of Malta.

The shirt is being released to commemorate 10,000 days since the historic home tie at Park Avenue, a milestone which falls on Thursday the 5th of November 2026.

On 20 June 1999, the Black and Greens welcomed Floriana to Park Avenue for the first leg of their Intertoto Cup First Round tie. In front of around 1,650 supporters, Kevin Morrison scored twice, including a late penalty, as Aber earned a memorable 2–2 draw.

Six days later the Seasiders travelled to Malta for the return fixture. Floriana won a closely fought encounter 2–1, with Michael Moore scoring Aber’s goal as the Club’s European adventure came to an end.

More than 27 years later, that memorable European campaign is being celebrated with a recreation of the distinctive green and black shirt worn for the two matches.

The replica recreates the original design with Cambrian Tyres across the front, the FFIGAR manufacturer branding, and distinctive “FLORIANA 99 MALTA” detailing on the back. Particular attention has also been paid to recreating the special Intertoto Cup 1999 Aberystwyth Town embroidered crest featured on the original shirts.

The shirts are available to pre-order now, with the first shirts expected to be delivered to customers in early November 2026.

A unique piece of Aberystwyth Town history, and a chance for supporters to celebrate 10,000 days since an unforgettable European tie at Park Avenue – while stocks last!
