CLUB TO WELCOME 'GRANDAD NEEDS HIS MEDICINE' FOR MATCHDAY POP-UP!

Aberystwyth Town Football Club is delighted to announce that Swansea-based sandwich specialists 'Grandad Needs His Medicine' will be heading to Aberystwyth University Park Avenue for a special matchday pop-up later this month!

The GNHM team will be serving their BBQ brisket buns from 6pm ahead of the Black and Greens’ home fixture against Pure Swansea FC on Friday 25th of September, with kick-off at 8pm.

Known for their bold and generously filled sandwiches, 'Grandad Needs His Medicine' have built a strong following in Swansea. Now, they will bring their food to Park Avenue for what promises to be a brilliant Friday evening under the lights.

The visit continues the Club’s commitment to creating a different matchday experience for supporters by welcoming exciting food businesses and chefs to Park Avenue throughout the season.

Chris, Chef and Owner of GNHM, has a personal connection to Aberystwyth and is looking forward to bringing the business to the Club.

Speaking ahead of the pop-up, Chris said:

“Aberystwyth has a special place in my heart personally, so to bring our sandwiches to the Club when they play a Swansea-based side, where our shop is located, is a no-brainer! Just don’t ask me for any score predictions!”

The collaboration follows the Club’s partnership with Gareth Ward and Ynyshir, which launched a new programme of matchday pop-ups, hospitality events and unique food experiences at Park Avenue.

Aberystwyth Town Football Club Commercial Director Gethin ap Dafydd said:

“Our matchday pop-ups are about bringing something different to Park Avenue and giving supporters even more reason to arrive early and enjoy their time at the Club. With Chris based in Swansea and having a genuine connection to Aberystwyth, this feels like the perfect fixture for us to collaborate on. We expect it to be a big event and a brilliant evening at Park Avenue.”

The BBQ brisket buns will be available to all supporters from 6pm, two hours before kick-off against Pure Swansea FC.

Supporters are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy the food and soak up the atmosphere ahead of another exciting evening of football under the Park Avenue lights.
