NIALL AND JAMES JOIN!

Aberystwyth Town Football Club is delighted to announce the signings of midfielder Niall Coleridge and attacker James Smallwood for the 2026/27 Novira Cymru South season!

Midfielder Niall Coleridge returns to Park Avenue having spent most of his senior career with Penrhyncoch. A former member of the club's academy set-up and having made his senior debut in the Cymru Premier, Niall is no stranger to the Black and Greens and returns with valuable experience gained in the Cymru North.

Speaking on the signing, manager Craig Williams said:

"I'm really pleased to welcome Niall to the club. He's been training with us over the last few weeks and has done really well, impressing the staff with his quality and attitude. Having previously been with ATFC in the U19s, he already knows the club and what we're about, and we're looking forward to the positive impact he can bring to the squad."

Niall told us:

“Coming back to Aberystwyth Town is really special for me. Having come through the U19s, I’ve got some great memories here. It’s a great opportunity to represent the club at senior level, and I’m really looking forward to the season ahead.”

Joining him at Park Avenue is attacking player James Smallwood, who arrives following spells with Llanidloes, Chirk AAA, and Guilsfield, having developed amongst the youth ranks

at Newtown AFC.

James brings a proven track record at Cymru North level, recording 11 goals and 10 assists in 66 appearances over the past two seasons with Guilsfield. An energetic forward with an eye for goal and the ability to create chances for teammates, James adds further quality and depth to Aber's attacking options.

Craig Williams added:

"I'm delighted to welcome James to the club. He's a player I know very well from working with him a few years ago, so I know exactly what he can bring to the team. He has good experience of Tier Two football having spent a number of seasons at this level now and that will be important for us. He's an energetic forward who can bring quality, movement and a real threat to our front line, and we're really looking forward to having him with us."
