PREVIEW: ATWFC VS BRITON FERRY LLANSAWEL WOMEN (A)
Aberystwyth Town Women continue their Genero Adran Premier campaign on Sunday as they travel south to face Briton Ferry Llansawel Women at the Renewable Centre Stadium.
The Seasiders head into the fixture looking to respond following a difficult opening to the campaign, with Aber having faced three of last season’s leading sides in their opening matches before a narrow 2–1 defeat away to Cardiff Met last weekend. Despite the results, Aber have shown positive moments in their performances and will be looking to turn those displays into points as they continue their Phase One campaign.
Briton Ferry will also be looking to bounce back after a defeat last weekend against defending champion Wrexham Women AFC. For Aberystwyth, Sunday provides another opportunity to build confidence and secure valuable points on the road. With both sides looking to respond from defeats last weekend, the Seasiders will be hoping to produce another determined performance and repeat the character they showed during their previous visit to Briton Ferry.
Ones To Watch
Aberystwyth Town Women: CARYS BUFTON
(Available to Sponsor)
Carys Bufton could prove pivotal for the Seasiders this weekend. Bufton was the standout performer during Aber’s previous visit to Briton Ferry, scoring a sensational hat-trick as the Seasiders came from two goals down to claim a 3–2 victory.
Her ability to find space in the final third and take chances when they arrive makes her an important attacking option for Aberystwyth. With the Seasiders looking to turn their recent performances into a positive result, Bufton’s movement and finishing could once again prove important.
Briton Ferry Llansawel Women: JADE CROFTS
One player Aber will need to keep a close eye on is Jade Crofts. The forward enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign, scoring 10 league goals for Ferry, and she has already continued that form this season.
