PINK DAY PREVIEW: WREXHAM AFC WOMEN (H)

Football takes on a bigger meaning this weekend as Aberystwyth Town Women host Wrexham AFC Women in Round 7 of the Genero Adran Premier, with Park Avenue being renamed Pink Avenue as we host a dedicated Pink Day in aid of Cancer Research UK and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Alongside this, the occasion also marks as a special Sponsor Appreciation Day to say thank you for the support we receive.

This landmark day will see the women’s team take to the pitch, with the Seasiders proudly wearing their new pink kit in support of the cause. Alongside the football, supporters can enjoy fundraising activities and family-friendly entertainment, all while helping to raise money and awareness for a cause close to so many hearts. The day marks a double header, as our development side face Aberystwyth University Women’s FC on Pink Avenue at 5pm.

The Seasiders will need to carry forward some momentum from the stunning comeback win against Briton Ferry last time out. The fixtures also give the club an opportunity to thank last season’s sponsors for their invaluable support, while welcoming potential new partners to experience first-hand the positive atmosphere around Aberystwyth Town Women.

On the pitch, Aber will be eager to deliver a strong performance against a Wrexham side that continues to grow in confidence since their great start to the season. With an expected bumper crowd at Pink Avenue, the Seasiders will look to feed off the atmosphere and deliver a result that matches the significance of the occasion.
