Aberystwyth Town Women host The New Saints Women in their first home fixture of the new Genero Adran Premier season.
The Seasiders will be determined to put on a strong performance in front of their home crowd, building on their opening fixture away 2-0 win at Pontypridd. Both sides had a win on the opening day of the season, with TNS beating last years league champions Cardiff City 1-0 live on Sgorio. The New Saints are another team who have had a change of manager during the offseason, therefore, both teams players will be eager to impress their new managers.
Meetings with TNS are always closely fought, for example, the 3-3 draw live on Sgorio during the 23/24 season that ultimately led to the Seasiders finishing top four. However, TNS finished strong during their last campaign meaning Aber will need to be at their best to secure the points.
One to Watch – Aberystwyth Town Women: Imogen Scourfield (Sponsored by Jenna Lucas, Silver sponsor still available on the website) – A driving force in midfield, her energy and tenacity will be vital in linking defence and attack against a strong TNS side.
One to Watch – The New Saints Women: Lexie Harrison – Returning from a spell in the English Pyramid, her leadership, drive and understanding of the game will be a major threat if given time and space.
