The Black and Greens head into the fixture determined to respond following a difficult afternoon away to Briton Ferry Llansawel last weekend. Despite a challenging start to the season, Aber will be hoping that a return to familiar surroundings can provide the platform for an improved performance.

Sunday presents another tough test against Cardiff City, who have established themselves as one of the leading teams in the Genero Adran Premier in recent seasons. The Bluebirds enjoyed a hugely successful period between 2022 and 2025, winning numerous league titles and consistently competing for domestic honours.

Cardiff City arrive at Park Avenue in impressive form, having recorded three consecutive league victories, including a convincing 7–1 win over Cardiff Met last weekend. The Bluebirds also secured victories over Barry Town United and Briton Ferry Llansawel, and will be looking to extend that winning run on Sunday.

For Aberystwyth, the focus will be on producing a disciplined and determined display, making the most of opportunities in front of goal and building confidence as the first phase of the campaign continues. With the Seasiders returning home and Cardiff City looking to maintain their ambitions towards the top end of the table, Sunday's encounter promises to provide another competitive test for the Black and Greens.
