PREVIEW: BARRY TOWN (A)

After last weekend's successful JD Cymru South debut, ATFC turn their attention to the Nathaniel MG Cup this weekend and face familiar opposition in Barry Town United.

ree

This is a competition that holds fond recent memories for the Black & Greens, with Aber reaching last year’s final and putting on a terrific display, losing out to only a single goal against The New Saints.

Matches between Aber & Barry are usually close affairs, with all four games last season being decided by one goal - three in Barry’s favour and one in Aber’s.

Both squads will be much changed from the last encounter in March however, with only Ben Davies, Gwydion Dafis and Tom Mason remaining in Black & Green and Barry also undergoing changes to their squad during the summer.

Goal machine Kayne McLaggon has moved on after many seasons at Jenner Park, whilst the likes of Josh Yorwerth, Luc Rees and Sam Snaith have also departed for pastures new.

George Ratcliffe & Keston Davies arrive to shore up the back line, whilst Joe Thomas, Daniel Barton & Daniel Smith are also new faces this season.

Jenner Park can be found by following postcode CF62 9BG. There is no parking for visiting supporters at the stadium, but there is plenty of street parking available in the local area.

South-Wales based Black and Green fans are invited to join our 'Southsiders' fan train from Cardiff Central, departing from Platform 8 at 11:59am!

Tickets can be purchased from Barry’s fanbase app with Adults priced at £8.40 and concessions at £5.25.
