Aberystwyth Town play their final pre-season friendly this Saturday and head to Llandudno to take on familiar opposition in the shape of Caernarfon Town, ahead of their first ever JD Cymru South match next Saturday.

The Cofis have been regular opponents over the last three decades in the JD Cymru Premier and fixtures between the two sides last season will be fondly remembered by the Green Army, as Aber triumphed on both occasions - 3-1 at Aberystwyth University Park Avenue in December and 4-1 at The Oval in October during Dave Taylor’s brief reign as Caretaker Manager.
There will be a host of familiar faces lining up against ATFC in this match with Adam Davies, Paulo Mendes, Darren Thomas, Mathew Jones and Connor Roberts all having worn Black & Green at some point during their careers to date.
Iwan Lewis made the switch to The Oval this summer after leaving Ceredigion, whilst former ATFC Assistant Manager Guy Handscombe joined Richard Davies' coaching staff during the close season also.
Caernarfon have made plenty of additions during this transfer window with noticeable names such as Zack Clarke, Dom Smith, Osebi Abadaki, Connor Evans and Kyle Harrison all signing deals, whilst Louis Lloyd has moved to Scotland to join St. Johnstone after an outstanding season last time around.
Caernarfon are currently playing all their matches at Llandudno FC whilst The Oval undergoes renovation work. The Go Goodwins Stadium, as it is now known, can be found on Builder St. West and the postcode for the ground is LL30 1HH.
