PREVIEW: CAERSWS (H)

The Black and Greens continue their pre-season preparations tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 5th) as Town welcome Mid-Wales neighbours Caersws FC to Aberystwyth University Park Avenue Stadium for a 1pm kick-off.

Town kicked off the 2025/26 season with a composed 2-0 home victory against Ardal North-East opponents Kerry FC, with both goals scored by then-trialist Garin Evans who shortly thereafter formally joined up with Callum McKenzie's squad earlier this week from Bont FC. The 23-year-old makes the leap from Tier 4 to Tier 2 having hit 43 goals in 29 appearances last term.

Saturday's opponents finished in 12th position of last season's JD Cymru North, where despite a strong first-half of the season, their form dropped from December onwards with four wins in their final 18 leagues matches.

A standout performer for Sws in the first half of the season was now-Seasider, Dylan Downs, who enjoyed a loan spell with tomorrow's foes from Newtown.

Other Black and Green connections include Club Captain and ATFC Academy graduate, Harry Cottam, forward Sam Phillips who made 54 appearances between 2021-23, and Manager, Craig Williams, who featured for the Club between 2010-12.

Admission prices for pre-season are set at £3 for concessions (Secondary School ages + OAPs), £5 for adults, and free for Primary School ages - come and see how the 2025/26 Black and Greens are coming together!
