PREVIEW: CAMBRIAN UTD (H)

Aberystwyth Town welcome league leaders Cambrian United to Aberystwyth University Park Avenue this weekend, in what will be the Black & Greens’ final home match of 2025.

Callum McKenzie signed off as manager last weekend with a 4–0 victory over Ynyshir Albion. In his absence, Matthew Bishop and John Davies will take charge of the team while the Board of Directors continues the search for a new boss.

The Black & Greens face a major test against the league’s pace-setters, who have suffered defeat just twice in the campaign so far.

Liam Williams’ side have won 10 of their 14 matches and lead the league’s scoring charts with 36 goals. Much of that firepower comes from the league’s leading marksman, Liam Eason, who has continued the prolific form that saw him score 27 goals to fire Llanelli Town to the title last season. He has already netted 14 times this term and has also provided seven assists, while fellow summer signing Cam Strinati has contributed six goals.

Aber, however, will be confident going into the fixture. The Black & Greens have won five of their last seven league matches and will be determined to give their interim leadership team everything as they continue their ascent up the table.

Following this weekend’s match, ATFC face three consecutive away fixtures in South Wales — travelling to fellow promotion hopefuls Ammanford and Caerau Ely before a Boxing Day trip to Pontypridd United.

Tickets for the match are priced at £7 for adults and £5 for concessions. Primary school children and junior league players are admitted free of charge.

Join us at Park Avenue as the lads look to continue their push for promotion!
