ANNA JOINS!

Aberystwyth Town Women are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Anna Phelps ahead of the 2026/27 Genero Adran Premier season.

Anna arrives at Park Avenue from Pontypridd United Women, bringing with her a wealth of experience at the highest level of Welsh women's football despite being just 19 years old.

During her career, Anna has represented the FAW Girls' Academy South, Pontypridd United Women and Cardiff City Women, before returning to Pontypridd United. She also gained valuable European experience with Cardiff City Women, making her UEFA Women's Champions League debut at the age of 17 against Dutch side FC Twente.

Her arrival further strengthens Rhys Jon James' squad as the Seasiders continue to build towards the new campaign.

Speaking after completing her move to Aberystwyth Town, Anna said:

"I'm really excited to be given the opportunity at Aberystwyth Town. I've been made to feel really welcome by the girls, and it's a great setup. I'm really looking forward to the season ahead, and my goal is to keep as many clean sheets as I can."

Manager Rhys Jon James believes Anna's experience and potential will make her a valuable addition to the squad.

"I'm really pleased with the signing of Anna. She's a talented goalkeeper with a lot of pedigree for someone so young. Her years in a winning environment at Cardiff City and her experiences with the Thailand national team will be really beneficial to us as a team."She's technically very strong, especially with the ball at her feet, and that will give us an added dimension heading into this season. At just 19 years of age, she's also got plenty of time to develop and, as a coaching team, we're really excited to help her continue that journey."
