Aberystwyth Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Dillon Browne ahead of the new season, joining from Mid Wales neighbours Caersws FC of the JD Cymru North.

A player with strong connections to the Club, Dillon returns to Aberystwyth University Park Avenue having previously progressed through the Club's academy as a youngster before embarking on his senior football journey with his hometown Club, Machynlleth FC.

He later initially joined Caersws ahead of the 2023/24 season before returning to Machynlleth early in the campaign. After continuing his development and impressing with his performances, Dillon rejoined the Bluebirds ahead of the 2024/25 season and quickly established himself as a key figure in the side.

Over the past two seasons, he has become one of the JD Cymru North's most effective midfield performers, combining creativity, work rate and a growing goalscoring threat having struck 13 goals in 69 appearances across all competitions for Caersws.

His performances last season did not go unnoticed as Dillon was selected to represent the JD Cymru North in the UEFA Regions' Cup squad, recognising his status as one of the league's standout midfielders.

Still developing and with his best years ahead of him, Browne arrives at Aberystwyth University Park Avenue ready to make the step up and continue his progression in Black and Green.

Dillon commented:

“I’m really proud to be joining such a big club in Aber and having come through the Club’s Academy, it’s great to be back. I’ve worked under Craig before, and after speaking with him about the plans for the season, I was really excited to be part of it.

I’ll bring commitment, hard work, and do everything I can to help the team — I can’t wait to get started!”

Manager Craig Williams added:

"Dillon fits exactly the type of player and character we want in the group. He’s got a great attitude, can play in a number of positions, and contributes well in both boxes.

Having come through the academy in his younger days, I’m delighted to bring him back to the club, and I’m looking forward to seeing him in an ATFC shirt."
