CLUB LAUNCHES SUPPORTERS' PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD

Aberystwyth Town Football Club is delighted to introduce a brand-new way for supporters to have their say on matchdays.

Starting from our next home fixture, supporters will be able to vote for their Supporters' Player of the Match, with the winning player receiving the award after each home game before being announced across the club's social media channels.

The winning player will receive a physical award, along with an additional prize bonus kindly donated by a local business. The club would like to thank our local partners for their support in helping to make this new initiative possible and for recognising the performances of our players throughout the season.

Voting couldn't be easier. Simply scan one of the QR codes displayed around the ground during the match, or use the QR code printed in the official match programme. The QR code will take you directly to a quick online voting form where you can select the player you believe deserves the award.

Voting will remain open until shortly after the final whistle, giving everyone the opportunity to recognise the player they feel made the biggest impact on the game.

Supporters Liaison Officer Ethan Pollitt said:

"Our supporters are the heart of Aberystwyth Town Football Club, so it's only right that they have the opportunity to recognise the players they believe have stood out on the pitch. We're really excited to launch our new Supporters' Player of the Match award, and the first chance to vote will be at this Saturday's home fixture against Treowen Stars. We hope it encourages even more interaction on matchdays and gives supporters another way to play their part in celebrating the team's performances."

Keep an eye out for the QR codes at your next visit to Park Avenue, cast your vote, and help crown our first Supporters' Player of the Match!

The club would like to thank John Davies and Gethin ap Dafydd for their help in organising and supporting the launch of this initiative.
