DAN THE BLACK AND GREEN MAN!

Aberystwyth Town FC are delighted to welcome exciting forward Daniel Owen to the Club from neighbours Penrhyncoch FC of the JD Cymru North. A former standout of the Black and Greens' Under-19 side, the now-23-year-old returns to Aberystwyth University Park Avenue after four seasons at Cae Baker.

A winger boasting frightening pace and tenacity, Tregaron-born Dan impressed from an early age within the ATFC Academy and Bow Street FC youth ranks before joining his hometown Tregaron Turfs ahead of the 2019/20 season, also representing the Black and Greens' U19 Development side.

His breakthrough came in the 2021/22 season, scoring 17 goals and registering 3 assists across 20 games for Town's U19s, while notching 35 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions for the Turfs.

Dan was added to Town's JD Cymru Premier pre-season squad for 2022/23, but was later loaned to Penrhyncoch FC for the season before transferring permanently the following summer.

In his four seasons with the Roosters, Dan scored 58 goals in 140 appearances across all competitions — with last season being his best, picking up a hat-trick of Players' Player, Top Goalscorer, and Manager's Player of the Season awards.

Dan now returns in Black and Green to play a key role in Craig Williams' attack for the 2026/27 JD Cymru South campaign.

Dan told us:
