Aberystwyth Town FC are delighted to welcome 25-year-old defender Tomos Evans to the club for the upcoming 2026/27 JD Cymru South season!

Aberystwyth-native, product of the Black and Greens' academy, and later part of a highly successful Under-19s team, Tom re-joins the club after eight seasons with Penrhyncoch FC whom he joined ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Tom has been a stalwart at Cae Baker since, amassing over 200 appearances across all competitions and serving the previous three seasons as Club Captain.

Naturally a right-back but proficient across the back line, Tom's extensive experience in Tier 2 and natural leadership qualities are sure to see him play a pivotal role in Craig Williams' defence.

Tom told us:

"Proving myself at a club of Aber’s stature is a big motivation for me, especially as someone who remembers many of the great players who have represented the club in the past.

My biggest strengths are defending one-on-one situations and driving forward from deep with the ball. My ambition is to help take Aber back to the Cymru Premier.

I’m looking forward to seeing some former teammates and coaches again, as well as meeting new teammates and testing myself against players who have come through the same pathway that I did."

Manager Craig Williams added:

“Tom is a player I’ve kept an eye on over recent seasons and have been impressed with whenever I’ve seen him play. He’s a tenacious, physical defender with a good engine, and having captained Penrhyncoch in Tier 2, he also brings leadership and experience that will be vital to us as a group.

Having previously enjoyed a successful spell with the ATFC Academy, Tom is returning to a club he knows well and we're delighted to add him to the squad. Welcome, Tom!"
