Aberystwyth Town make the short trip east on Friday evening to face Cymru North side Guilsfield, with the Black and Greens looking to maintain their unbeaten start to pre-season.

Last Friday's goalless draw against Haverfordwest County marked Aber's third consecutive clean sheet, following impressive defensive displays against Mid Wales neighbours Newtown and Caersws.

With the club's new signings continuing to settle into life at Park Avenue, and several trialists also impressing during pre-season, Craig Williams' squad is beginning to take shape ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Guilsfield enjoyed another strong season in the Cymru North last term, finishing sixth after recording 13 wins and four draws from their 30 league matches.

The hosts have also been active during the summer transfer window, strengthening their squad with the additions of Billy Clarke, Mike Jones, Ellis Turner, Alex Buxton, Jake Jones, Joe Haycock, and Harvey Jones, while retaining the core of last season's side.

Friday's fixture provides another valuable test for Aber as preparations for the new season continue, with the opening league fixture now just over two weeks away.
