After last week’s hard-fought victory at Trethomas Bluebirds, the Black & Greens return to Ceredigion this weekend to face high-flying Trefelin BGC at Aberystwyth University Park Avenue.

Callum McKenzie’s side once again demonstrated their resilience and ability to grind out results, with Saturday’s win marking their fourth in the last five league games.
That strong run has lifted Aber to within four points of second place — currently occupied by this weekend’s visitors — and with a game in hand on most of the teams above them, the Seasiders are well placed to continue their climb up the JD Cymru South table. Importantly, they’re set to face four of those sides in the coming weeks in what promises to be a crucial spell in the season.
Trefelin are enjoying an excellent campaign as they look to build on last year’s impressive fourth-place finish. The Port Talbot outfit, managed by former Llanelli and Briton Ferry boss Andy Hill, have won seven of their eleven matches so far, collecting 24 points.
Their squad features several familiar names for Aber fans. Joe Clarke and Kostya Georgievsky both wore Black & Green during the 2016–17 season, while striker Luke Bowen netted 17 goals in his single campaign at Park Avenue back in 2009–10.
Bowen is once again among the goals this season and currently sits second in the league’s scoring charts with seven to his name. Tyler Brock has added five, with Roan Piper contributing four.
🎟️ Tickets: £7 adults | £5 concessions | Free for primary school children and junior league players.
So get down to Park Avenue this Saturday, make some noise, and help drive the Black & Greens to another massive three points!
