The 2025/26 season draws to a close this Saturday as ATFC make one final trip south, to face Ynyshir Albions.

A win for the Black & Greens, combined with Carmarthen Town dropping points at Trethomas Bluebirds, would see Craig Williams’ side secure a 5th-place finish in what has been a rollercoaster debut campaign in the JD Cymru South.
Since last summer, Aber have faced significant challenges. An almost entirely new squad was assembled at the start of the season, followed by a managerial change midway through, as well as a series of long-term injuries. Despite this, the side remained in contention for a top three finish until recent weeks, when the injuries began to take their toll.
If the team can build on this year in the 2026/27 season, with greater stability, there is every reason for optimism among the Green Army heading into the new campaign.
To round off the season, Aber take on Ynyshir Albions, who currently sit 15th in the table with 22 points from 29 matches.
Callum Salter poses the hosts’ main attacking threat, having recorded seven goals and six assists so far this season. Cory Morgan has also contributed with four goals and three assists.
In the reverse fixture back in November, Aber ran out convincing 4–0 winners, with goals from Desean Martin, Richie Ricketts, Jonny Evans, and Star Mayemba.
Ynyshir are competing in just their second season at this level. They previously featured in the division in 2022/23 and earned their return by winning the Ardal Leagues playoffs in May, following an impressive run of 10 wins in 11 matches to secure their place.
Still a relatively young club, formed in 1992, they are based in the village of Ynyshir in the Rhondda Valley.
Ynyshir play at Ynyshir Oval which can be found by following postcode CF39 0EF. The ground is situated on Church Road. Come join us in the Rhondda Valley as Aber look to close out the 2025/26 season with a win!
