RICO JOINS AS PERFORMANCE COACH!

Aberystwyth Town Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Rico Martin as the Club’s new Performance Coach ahead of the 2026/27 JD Cymru South season!

Rico, who is based at Aberystwyth University, began his coaching career in 2004 at the University Sports Centre. Since then, he has established himself as one of the leading performance coaches in the field, working with elite athletes across a range of sports.

His current client list includes World Rally Championship leader Elfyn Evans, nine-time Enduro World Champion Steve Holcombe, Specialized Gravity downhill mountain bike rider and Junior World Champion Jordan Williams, as well as the Great Britain Enduro Team.

Speaking about his appointment, Rico said:

"This is exactly the challenge I’ve been looking for, and to be involved with a club that has such a proud history is a real honour. Being Aberystwyth through and through, I can’t wait to get started."

First Team Manager Craig Williams welcomed Rico to the club, saying:

"I’m delighted to have someone of Rico’s expertise on board. His appointment is a real sign of the direction we’re aiming to take the club. Welcome, Rico!"
