Aberystwyth Town FC are delighted to confirm that Jack Rimmer has returned to the Club for a third spell, while Calvin Smith has committed his future to the Seasiders by signing on for the 2026/27 season.

A familiar face to the Aberystwyth University Park Avenue faithful, 27-year-old Jack came through the Club's academy before making his senior debut at just 16 years old in August 2015. He famously scored his first and only goal for the Club in a memorable 1-0 Boxing Day victory away to Haverfordwest County later that year and has since made 116 appearances across two spells in Black and Green.
Having most recently represented Penrhyncoch and Bow Street, Jack has impressed throughout pre-season and returns to strengthen Craig Williams' defensive options ahead of the new campaign.
Jack said:
"I'm delighted to be playing back at Park Avenue this year. As soon as Craig messaged me about coming back, it was an easy yes. We've got a great, young, local squad this year who are ready for the challenge. I'm excited to show the fans what we can do this year!"
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Calvin Smith will remain at Park Avenue after an impressive first season with the Club.

Joining ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, Calvin quickly established himself as a regular, making 27 appearances in all competitions. Equally comfortable on the left of midfield or defence, his pace, trickery and versatility saw him score three goals during his debut season, and he now returns looking to build on that strong foundation.
Calvin said:
"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract with Aberystwyth Town FC. I'm really looking forward to the season ahead and I'm ready to take on the challenge. I'm determined to work hard, keep improving and give everything for the shirt. I'm confident in what me and the team can achieve and can't wait to get started."
Welcoming both lads, manager Craig Williams commented:
“It’s great to have Jack back at the club, and we’re pleased that Calvin has committed for another season. They both know what’s expected, have worked hard throughout pre-season, and I’m looking forward to seeing what they can contribute this year.”
Croeso nôl, bois!
