Aberystwyth Town FC are delighted to welcome talented Ukrainian midfielder Erik Savkin to the Club, boasting youth and senior experience across German, Spanish, and English leagues. Since relocating to the UK in December 2024, Erik has most recently represented Redditch Borough FC and previously Alvechurch FC of the English Southern Premier League Central on professional terms.

Turning 21-years-old next month and hailing from Odesa, Erik moved from his native Ukraine to join Hungarian side Tarpa SC in 2022 before time in the German Sixth Tier with youth sides at SC Velbert and SG Unterrath.
Erik spent the second half of the 2023/24 season in Spain with the Under-19s of Valencia-based side Patacona CF competing in the youth divisions of La Liga before returning to Germany ahead of the 2024/25 season, joining 1. FC Phönix Lübeck.
Erik made 15 first-team appearances in the Landesliga Holstein (Sixth Tier), scoring four times. During his spell, the Club won 15 of their first 18 league matches on their way to gaining promotion to the Oberliga Schleswig-Holstein (Fifth Tier).
In December 2024, Erik decided to relocate to the UK to pursue a career in football and joined Alvechurch FC of the Southern Premier League Central on professional terms until the end of the 2024/25 season.
While continuing to train full-time at Alvechurch, Erik has represented Redditch Borough FC earlier this season before joining up with the Black and Greens — now officially making the move to play in the JD Cymru South.
Manager Craig Williams commented:
"I’m delighted to welcome Erik to Aberystwyth Town. He's a player that’s been training with the Club for a period of time while waiting for the transfer window to open, so we’re pleased to finally add him officially to the squad.
The fans at Park Avenue will enjoy watching him play; he’s got a lot of quality and good attributes that will improve our squad and he is available for selection immediately. Welcome Erik!"
