Without doubt, one of the best grounds in the Welsh Premier League, Park Avenue is the home of Aberystwyth Town FC. It is located on the edge of Aberystwyth and close to several transport links.
Park Avenue is a short walk from the train station (and Wetherspoon's pub). Whether travelling by train, bus or car, find the train station first. Turn left as if you were coming out of the station and you will find a roundabout with a Texaco petrol station on it. Turn left here as if you are heading away from Aberystwyth. Walk on for about 200 yards and on the right, opposite the Co-op supermarket, you will find a pay and display car park which leads to the entrance of Park Avenue.
Park Avenue has a friendly atmosphere and welcomes families. Both students and locals unite to support the Black and Greens. The more vocal parts of the crowd tend to sit in the Dias stand, which was named after the Aberystwyth legend. Park Avenue has recently had some improvements, including 500 extra seats built to meet UEFA ground criteria. The clubhouse has also been modernised following a fire in 2004. It has been renamed the 'John Charles Lounge' in honour of the Welsh footballing legend.
