The hosts gave an encouraging performance but the footballing Gods are not smiling on the Black and Greens at the moment and after a tight game Ponty progress to the Southern Semi Finals. Aberystwyth Town are back in cup action tonight, with Pontypridd United the opponents for a 3rd round Nathaniel MG Cup tie. Aber reached this stage by beating Barry Town United away in Round Two; thanks to goals from Billy Kirman and Alex Darlington. Aberystwyth Town Women enjoyed a sensational start to the season. trouncing Barry Town United 3-0 to go top of the league after the first round of matches. Rhoddodd goliau Tom Creamer (12 mun) a Dan Jones (27 mun) rheolaeth i’r tim cartref, ond hanerodd gol gampus Iwan Lewis y gwahaniaeth toc cyn yr hanner (45+1 mun). Aeth y pendiwlwm yn ol o blaid y Bae gyda gol Udoyen Akpan (49 mun) ac er i Aber ymdrechu’n galed drwy’r ail hanner, na llwyddasant i ddarganfod ffordd yn ol mewn i’r gem. Join us and become a Fit Black and Green! Aberystwyth Town FC is delighted to announce the launch of their 2nd Fit Fans course, with free male sessions starting on 16th September, and free female sessions starting on 20th September at Park Avenue. Following the success of the Club's first course this summer, our 2nd course will soon be underway! FIT FANS is a collaboration between the Football Association of Wales (FAW) and the English Football League Trust (EFL Trust), supported by funding from the Welsh Government’s ‘Healthy Weight: Healthy Wales’ programme. Football fans aged between 35 and 65 will be able to join the 12-week healthy lifestyle programme. The free scheme will be delivered by the charitable arms of Welsh football clubs and their community coaching staff to groups of up to 30 people who are hoping to lose weight. Participants are encouraged to make long term behavioural changes by incorporating physical activity and healthy eating into their daily lives. The course includes exercise sessions, classes on improving eating habits and pedometer-based walking exercise during the week. The programme has been delivered elsewhere in Wales at Cardiff City, Newport County, Swansea City, and Wrexham AFC -- and now returns for a second course at Aberystwyth Town. Club Director Colin Jones MBE, who will be delivering the sessions said: "This is a great opportunity for members of our community to readdress their lifestyles for positive change. Aberystwyth Town Football Club is the only club in the Cymru Premier participating in Fit Fans and all the Directors would like to thank the EFL for all their support and assistance in preparation of deliberation of the Fit Fans Course". Yn dilyn llwyddiant ein cwrs cyntaf hâf yma, mi fydd yr ail gwrs yn dechrau cyn hir! Cydweithrediad rhwng Cymdeithas Bêl-droed Cymru ac Ymddiriedolaeth EFL (English Football League) yw FIT FANS, a gefnogir drwy gyllid o raglen ‘Pwysau Iach: Cymru Iach’ Llywodraeth Cymru.
