 Aberystwyth Town are delighted to announce the signing of former Swansea City, Wrexham and Wales Under 21 international Dan Alfei following his release from the Swans in the summer.
Alfei, a defender, started his career at his home town club Swansea City, making his professional debut in a 4-0 FA Cup victory against Colchester United in 2011. He also boasts a wealth of both National League and Football League experience, having enjoyed loan spells at Wrexham, Portsmouth, Northampton Town and most recently Mansfield Town in League Two, before being released by his parent club this summer. The full back has also represented his country at Under 17, 19 and 21 level, amassing 37 caps in the process. He is renowned for his excellent defensive work and is not afraid to get forward, scoring four goals at international level in the process. Twenty four year old Dan goes straight into Matthew Bishop’s squad ahead of Saturday’s fixture vs TNS.
