 Aberystwyth Town are delighted to announce the retention of Midfielder Paulo Mendes, who has rejected offers from other Cymru Premier Clubs and will remain at Park Avenue beyond the current transfer window.
Paulo has had a fantastic season to date, appearing in all 22 Cymru Premier matches for the Black and Greens. Joint Top Scorer with 6 Cymru Premier goals, Mendes has also created many more, managing four assists in his last two matches alone. The stats back up his positive season as his rating on the Cymru Premier’s InStat list of 207 is second only to Captain Marc Williams. The marauding midfielder is known for imposing his presence on matches, and is a fan favourite for his commitment and dedication to the cause. Paulo’s technical prowess is also much valued, and Mendes has singled out the influence of Aber Town’s fans in his decision, whose support in matches made it an easy decision to stay in Black and Green (see photo, above courtesy of Colin Ewart).
