 Aberystwyth Town FC were delighted to learn that they have been picked out of the hat next to local friends and rivals Penrhyncoch in the Word Cup First Round draw, which was made at the Dafabet WPL AGM last Saturday.
Newly promoted Penrhyncoch participate in the Cup as wildcard entrants, and the tie, to be played at Cae Baker, was probably the one both clubs would have chosen for a huge occasion, guaranteed to draw a very large crowd. The links between the two clubs are endless. Black and Green legends Gari Lewis, Aneurin Thomas and Bari Morgan form Penrhyn's Management Team, while new Aber Manager Matthew Bishop lives in Penrhyncoch, as does defender Sion James.
