Aber Town Raring to go for another Fab Friday: Aberystwyth Town v Carmarthen Town Match Preview

Aber Town are raring to go and looking forward to another Fab Friday at Park Avenue in 48 hours, as Carmarthen Town visit Ceredigion for Matchday 27 of the JD Cymru Premier.

The Black and Greens are on a high this week. Last Friday they managed a good away point at Cefn Druids thanks to goals from Marc Williams and Mathew Jones. After a good training session on Tuesday, Jones, Alex Pennock and Assistant Manager Gavin Allen have been out and about coaching at St Padarns and Penrhyncoch Schools today, and the Club was also delighted to hear that both Connor Roberts and Lee Jenkins have been named in the Wales C Squad to face England at Caernarfon on Tuesday 24th March.

Town now look to top off a great week with a positive result against the Wizards. Roberts returns to the squad after a three match suspension, and the likes of Luke Boundford, Ilan Hughes, Marc Williams and Alhagie Touray will be looking to replicate their influential performances last week in front of their home fans.

Carmarthen started off Phase II with wins away to Penybont and home to Druids, but lost 3-1 at home to Airbus in a key match last week. Despite this Carmarthen have won at Park Avenue too often over the past few years for Aber to take this game lightly, and home fans will know all about onetime Black and Green players like Luke Bowen, Lee Surman and Declan Carroll who now represent the Orangemen from Richmond Park.

A win will take the Black and Greens to within five points of a UEFA European Play Off place in seventh, setting up an exciting final five matches of the regular season. Kick off at Park Avenue on Friday evening is at 7.45pm, with Wales International Footballers on show for just £7 for Adults, £4 Concessions and £1 for kids. Consider yourself invited!
