Welsh Premier Development League (South)
Sunday 14th October Aberystwyth Town Under 19s 13 Penybont Under 19s 0 On a Sunny day after storm Callum had finally calmed down, Aber Town's Under 19 Development team produced a powerful and convincing display to beat Penybont by 13 goals to nil, writes Team Manager Bari Morgan. The visitors had the first attack of the game after only 30 seconds of the game which Alex Pennock brilliantly saved on to the bar. However after this it really was one way traffic and Town took the lead after 4 minutes through Niall Coleridge, who finished well after a scramble at a corner kick. Aberystwyth played some great football at times but were wasteful also in front of goal, but the goals finally came and the Black and Greens went in at half time with a seven goal lead. Having made changes at half time, the Seasiders continued to dominate possession and created chance after chance. Following fine moves they went on to score a further six goals in the second half. Credit must be paid to to Penybont though who continued to work hard throughout the game, and special mention must go to their keeper who made many fine saves during the game. Aber's goals were scored by Liam Doherty who scored five, two goals apiece for Carwyn Morgan and Steffan Gittins and goals also for Jack Rimmer, Harri Rowe, and Iwan Lloyd. Bari Morgan's Black and Green Under 19s move on swiftly now to visit Llanelli Town Under 19s on Wednesday night, in what will be a very tough test, the Steelmen having started the season strongly and having three players recently promoted to make Welsh Premier debuts for the First Team. Kick off is at 7.30pm. Comments are closed.
