 Aberystwyth Town are delighted to announce that legendary Welsh Premier League striker Les Davies has agreed to join the Black and Greens for season 2019/20.
A long time thorn in Aber’s side, most famously in the Welsh Cup Final of 2009, Davies’ aerial strength and superb left foot will finally be deployed in the Seasiders’ favour next season. Les, affectionately nicknamed “The Truck,” is best known as the iconic striker who helped Bangor City and Nev Powell to Welsh Premier League Title glory in 2011, not to mention Welsh Cup wins in 2008,9 and 10. He has since played for Connah’s Quay, Bala and Llandudno and comes to Park Avenue with 123 WPL goals to his name from over 400 appearances. Davies has represented Wales at Under 18 and Under 21 level and also as a semi-professional for their Under 23 team, and was nominated for the UEFA Player of the Year award in July 2012.
