Dafabet Welsh Premier League Saturday 16th April (ko 2.30pm) Carmarthen Town v Aberystwyth Town Aber Town's excellent end of season run will again be put to the test on Saturday when they visit Play Off Conference rivals Carmarthen Town at Parc Waundew, for their final away match of the regular season. Wyn Thomas has presided over an upturn in results since the January split and Aber have won five and drawn two of their eight fixtures in the Play Off Conference. Their only defeat was a costly 4-2 reverse at home to Carmarthen in February, which Town will be aiming to revenge on Saturday to stay in the race for a seventh place finish which guarantees a UEFA Europa League Play Off spot. Carmarthen have also been in great form since the split and have equalled the Black and Greens' seventeen points haul, with ex-Aber striker Mark Jones' return to the side a significant feature of that upturn in form. The Orangemen will however have defenders Craig Hanford and Jordan Knott suspended, both having received bans in the past week. Wyn Thomas' squad has a clean bill of health, and an in form squad to choose from with Craig Williams and Rhys Griffiths both catching the eye of late. Chris Venables now equals Tony Gray's seventeen goal haul at the top of the race for the WPL Golden Boot and with effervescent midfielder Luke Sherbon gradually returning to fitness, things are looking up for the Seasiders. If they can keep their positive run of results going there could be a very exciting end to the season in May. The Coach leaves Park Avenue at 11am and a return trip to Carmarthen will cost just £10 for Adults and £5 Concessions. We look forward to seeing you there and then! Comments are closed.
