Aberystwyth Town FC were proud and delighted to learn of Academy Product Tom Bradshaw's Wembley appearance yesterday, representing Walsall in the Johnson's Paint Trophy Final in front of 72,315 fans. Centre forward Tom, who wears the Number 9 short for Walsall is currently enjoying his best ever season having scored 13 goals from 23 League One appearances for the Saddlers, and he was named on standby for Wales' Senior Squad in October. Shrewsbury-born Tom was a part of Aberystwyth Town's Academy for a number of years while his family were living in Tywyn, and he made his debut for the Black and Greens in 2009, scoring 2 goals in four games and coming on as a substitute in the 2009 Welsh Cup Final. Bradshaw then moved to Shrewsbury Town, scoring 17 goals in 89 appearances over 5 years before his move to the Bescot Stadium last summer. Having completed five years of education in Wales Tom has also played for Wales' Under 19s and Under 21s side - and he scored on his debut for both, as he did at Shrewsbury and Walsall. In fact the Black and Greens are the only side Tom failed to score for on his debut! Everyone at the Club congratulates Tom and his family on a major achievement, and wish him all the best for his future career, which at present looks very promising indeed. Comments are closed.
