Sunday 20th September Welsh Womens Premier League Aberystwyth Town 1 Rhyl & Prestatyn Town 2 A ninth minute goal from Aberystwyth's Lowri Morgan could not prevent the Welsh Premier side going down 2-1 to Rhyl and Prestatyn. A close and physical match saw the game race from end to end and in the 16th minute Rhyl's and Prestatyn's Ashley Mills scored a cracking volley over the head of home keeper Chelsea Maiklem to equalise. The second half saw chances for Ffiona Evans and Amy Jenkins for the home side and Laura Williams and Rachel Lloyd for the visitors, but a 76th winner from Rebecca Bannister that saw the visitors take the spoils back home. Aberystwyth Town travel to PILCS and Rhyl and Prestatyn host Wrexham on Sunday 27th September in round three of the Premier competition (ko 2pm).
