Friday 20th October (8pm Kick Off) Aberystwyth Town v The New Saints Aberystwyth Town will look to keep up their momentum as they welcome current JD Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints to Park Avenue on Friday evening. Town have picked up five points from their last 3 games, most recently claiming victory away at Llandudno after Jonny Spittle’s late winner, and manager Nev Powell will be looking for his team to pick up their first home victory of the season on Friday evening. After last weekend’s victory in Llandudno, Powell heaped praise upon the performance of his players in conversation with Aber Town's Youtube Channel, stating “There’s a lot of confidence in that dressing room now, and we’ve got lads in the dressing room with real ability and if we continue to work hard and stick together then good things will come from it.” Indeed, Aber’s manager will again hope to see the spirit and desire shown by his team during last weekend’s victory, scoring two goals in the final 5 minutes to claim a valuable three points away from home. Town will be boosted by the fact that midfield maestro Malcolm Melvin returned to the starting line-up last weekend as he builds back towards full fitness. Geoff Kellaway remains sidelined through injury, whilst striker Craig Hobson will be pushing for a starting place. Current JD Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints are in fine form themselves, unbeaten in their last 11 games in all competitions and currently lying top of the league table. In what is sure to be another entertaining game against the champions, be sure to get down to Park Avenue on Friday night for an 8 p.m Kick Off.
