Aberystwyth Town Women lost a second consecutive home game on Sunday as they fell 0-4 to a physical, dominant Swansea City side. Collodd Merched Tref Aberystwyth ail gêm gartref yn olynol ddydd Sul wrth iddyn nhw ddisgyn 0-4 i dîm corfforol, dominyddol tîm pêl-droed Abertawe. Goals from Katy Hosford (2), Jessica Williams and Monet Legall gave the visitors a deserved win. A goal-line clearance from centre-half Libby Isaac and some good saves from keeper Margot Farnes prevented the scoreline from being even more emphatic. Captain Amy Jenkins, Lily Moralee-Hughes and Niamh Duggan all had chances to put the Seasiders on the scoresheet, but were off-target. "We were second-best today but I'm sure the girls learnt a lot playing against a team as physical and as vocal as Swansea City," said manager Gavin Allen afterwards. Aberystwyth Town Women are next in action on Sunday 5th November as they travel to TNS (kick-off 2pm). Rhoddodd goliau gan Katy Hosford (2), Jessica Williams a Monet Legall fuddugoliaeth haeddiannol i’r ymwelwyr.
Fe wnaeth clirio llinell gôl gan y canolwr Libby Isaac ac arbediadau da gan y golwr Margot Farnes atal y sgôr rhag bod hyd yn oed yn fwy pendant. Cafodd y capten Amy Jenkins, Lily Moralee-Hughes a Niamh Duggan gyfleoedd i roi’r Seasiders ar y sgôr, ond nid oeddent wedi cyrraedd y targed. “Roedden ni’n ail-orau heddiw ond rwy’n siŵr bod y merched wedi dysgu llawer yn chwarae yn erbyn tîm mor gorfforol ac mor leisiol â thîm pêl-droed Abertawe,” meddai’r rheolwr Gavin Allen wedyn. Merched Tref Aberystwyth fydd yn cystadlu nesaf ddydd Sul 5 Tachwedd wrth iddynt deithio i TNS (cic gyntaf 2pm). Comments are closed.
