A single goal was the difference as Aberystwyth Town Women went down 1-0 against Wrexham at the Rock - a win which meant Steve Dale's side will finish Phase One in the top half of the table. A Carra Jones header midway through the second half did the damage - although Aber had two good penalty shouts as well as some good chances for captain Amy Jenkins and Lily Moralee-Hughes. Still, the Seasiders have a chance of sealing fourth spot, with two games in hand over TNS - the first of which comes on Thursday (1st February), when they host Cardiff Met at Park Avenue (7.45pm kick-off). Un gôl oedd y gwahaniaeth wrth i Ferched Tref Aberystwyth golli 1-0 yn erbyn Wrecsam yn y Rock – roedd y fuddugoliaeth yn golygu y bydd tîm Steve Dale yn gorffen Cymal Un yn hanner uchaf y tabl.
Peniad Carra Jones hanner ffordd trwy’r ail hanner wnaeth y difrod – er i Aber gael dwy gic gosb dda yn ogystal â chyfleoedd da i’r capten Amy Jenkins a Lily Moralee-Hughes. Eto i gyd, mae gan y Seasiders obaith o selio’r pedwerydd safle, gyda dwy gêm mewn llaw dros TNS – y gyntaf yn dod ddydd Iau (1af Chwefror), pan fyddwn yn croesawu Met Caerdydd i Goedlan y Parc (cic gyntaf 7.45pm).
