Uwchgynghrair Genero Adran Premier Mercher/Wednesday 27 Mawrth/March Tref Aberystwyth Town 0 Wrecsam/Wrexham 2 Roedd dwy gol yn yr hanner gyntaf yn ddigon i enill y gem i Wrecsam neithiwr, yn erbyn Menywod Tref Aber ar Goedlan y Parc. Aber Town Women couldn’t overturn a first half two goal deficit last night, as they fell to a 2-0 defeat against Wrexham. Several players were unavailable for the Seasiders on Wednesday. Margot Farnes and Sophie Steele were both unavailable, which saw Amy Jenkins step in between the sticks. Rebecca Mathias was also unavailable due to suspension, whilst Gwenllian Jones picked up an injury last week.
Wrexham took the lead inside the first ten minutes. A ball in by Carra Jones from left found Brooke Cairns in the middle, who fired home to give the visitors the lead. They doubled that lead just before halftime. A brilliant long-range effort from Jones, who got the assist for the first goal, found the top right corner, putting Wrexham in control. With a few seconds to go, Lleucu Mathias went one-on-one with Wrexham goalkeeper Del Morgan, but her effort went inches past the post. The second half saw no more goals, as Wrexham ensured they will finish in 3rd place. Both sides go head-to-head again on Sunday at The Rock, in a 2pm kick-off in the Genero Adran Premier. Aber Town XI: Jenkins; Elan Jones, Isaac, Scourfield, Evans; Gwynne (Elin Jones 46, James-Evans 79), Moralee-Hughes, Duggan; Mathias, Baker (Wylde 64), E. Thomas.
