Sul/Sunday 10 Mawrth/March Uwchgynghrair Genero Adran Premier Championship Conference Dinas Caerdydd/Cardiff City 3 Tref Aberystwyth Town 0 Colli fu hanes Menywod Tref Aber yn y brifddinas yng ngem gyntaf Ail Rhan y tymor, o 3-0 yn erbyn Dinas Caerdydd. Aber Town Women opened their Genero Adran Premier Phase Two campaign with a 3-0 defeat against Cardiff City in the capital. The Seasiders made three changes to last time out against the Bluebirds, with Lily Moralee-Hughes and Lleucu Mathias unavailable due to their Welsh Schools game earlier on in the day. Town kept the champions at bay until the 27th minute of the game, when City finally took the lead after dominating a lot of the play. A mistake at the back lead to a finish from Rhianne Oakley, to give the hosts the lead.
The second half saw two goals in quick succession early on for Cardiff. Hollie Smith headed home at the back post in the 47th minute, before Eliza Collie finished at the back post two minutes later to put the Bluebirds in control. Aber began to create chances towards the end of the game. A ball in from Libby Isaac found Ella Thomas in the box, who couldn’t quite find a finish. The game also saw the introduction of Lowri James-Evans, who made her debut for Aber Town Women in the Genero Adran Premier. There would be no more goals in the game in the closing moments, with Cardiff’s two early second half goals killing the game off. Manager Anthony Williams told Sgorio after the game: “We had Lowri make her debut, and Gwen Mason made her first start. It’s a really young squad and this is the learning time for them now.” The Seasiders face Swansea City away from home next, before returning to Park Avenue to face Cardiff City a week later.
