Aberystwyth Town are delighted to name Neville Powell as their new First Team Manager. Powell, who revalidated his A Licence in May 2017, replaces previous Manager Tony Pennock, who was released to rejoin Hull City last month. Nev ensured legendary status as Manager at Bangor City FC after leading the Club to a Welsh Premier League title in 2010/11 and Welsh Cup Final wins in 2008, 2009 and 2010. He also earned five WPL Manager of the Month Awards and two WPL Manager of the Year Awards in 2010 and 2011, and won the Welsh League Cup as Manager of Connah's Quay in 1996. Chairman Donald Kane said: "Nev's Stature within Welsh Football, his experience within the League, and the extensive contacts he has within the game marked him out as an outstanding candidate for the job, and as a Club we are delighted to have recruited him as First Team Manager. Nev and Assistant Manager Wayne Jones have already had extensive discussions with regards to preparations for next season and both look forward to working with each other, starting this week." It is hoped that Neville Powell will be available to oversee his First Match as Manager of Aberystwyth Town FC on Saturday when the Black and Greens welcome Llanelli to Park Avenue for a Pre Season Friendly (ko 2.30pm). Everyone at Park Avenue welcomes Nev to the Club and we are eagerly looking forward to the forthcoming season! Comments are closed.
