Dafabet Welsh Premier League Tuesday 6th October (ko 7.45pm) Bala Town v Aberystwyth Town Aberystwyth Town's Dafabet WPL Bandwagon rolls on to Bala tomorrow night, with the Black and Greens showing real signs that they have turned the corner after a disappointing start to the season. Rhys Griffiths' injury time equaliser at home to a resolute Connah's Quay side meant that Aber have taken 8 points from their last four games, and have conceded only four in those games - a major improvement. Town now enter a run of three very challenging away fixtures and their upsurge in form will be severely tested at Maes Tegid tomorrow evening. Aber v Bala clashes have turned into Epic Encounters since both sides established themselves as Podium Contenders last year, and their League encounter at Park Avenue two weeks ago was no different, with the Lakesiders looking very good for the first twenty minutes, before falling back to endure a Black and Green Barrage in the second half. The game ended in an honourable 1-1 draw, and with both sides fully respectful of each others' potential, another tight game could well be reasonably expected. Hovever, a punishing recent schedule in the WPL and Word Cup has left both Clubs' Physios busy. Antonio Corbisiero and Mike Lewis were both ruled out of Saturday's encounter by injury, and Bala are also reported to have some walking wounded running up to Tuesday's encounter. Aber's last visit to Maes Tegid ended up as a 3-3 draw, with a stunning hat trick from Geoff Kellaway lighting up the evening for supporters of the Black and Greens. Will we see another six goals tomorrow? You will find out by being there, and £10 (Adults) and £5 (Concessions) will get you on the Coach, which leaves Park Avenue at 4.45pm. Comments are closed.
