Park Avenue was granted a huge cup tie in Monday's Welsh Cup Third Round Draw as the Black and Greens were drawn to host holders Bala Town over the weekend of the 2nd/3rd December 2017, the only all WPL tie of the round. Bala pulled off a huge upset, scoring two late late goals to defeat TNS 2-1 in the 2017 Welsh Cup Final at Nantporth, and went on to represent Wales in the Europa League. The Lakesiders will also visit Park Avenue for a dress rehearsal in the WPL a week on Friday, 17th November, and Aber are awaiting precise confirmation of the Welsh Cup match date and kick off time. Wales goalkeeper coach Tony Roberts and former international Danny Gabbidon assisted with the JD Welsh Cup Round 3 draw, which will see many southern based teams travel north in Round 3 for fixtures that are due to be played on 2/3 December.
