 Mae CPD Tref Aberystwyth yn falch i gyhoeddi bod Iwan Lewis wedi cytuno i ddychwelyd i'r Clwb ar gyfer y tymor JD Cymru Premier 2024/25 -- ei 3ydd mewn Gwyrdd a Du! Aberystwyth Town FC are delighted to confirm the retention of midfielder Iwan Lewis for the upcoming 2024/25 JD Cymru Premier campaign -- his 3rd in Black and Green! With experience across the Cymru Leagues, namely at Caersws, Porthmadog and Guilsfield, 30-year-old Iwan starred for the Guils in 2021/22 making 29 appearances and scoring 5 on his way to a spot in the JD Cymru North Team of the Season. Making the jump to the JD Cymru Premier ahead of the 2022/23 season, Iwan more than proved himself in the division as he made 36 competitive starts out of a possible 36 games, only missing 2 whole minutes of action, finding the net on two occasions. Iwan returned to the Club for the 2023/24 season and cemented himself as one of the league's most consistent performers in midfield, missing just one game to indirect suspension and doubling his goal tally to four -- including the winner in a crucial 1-0 home victory vs Haverfordwest County in February. Known for his exceptional fitness levels, technical ability, and eye for goal, Iwan returns to the heart of the Black and Green midfield for another season -- news that is sure to delight the Green Army! Manager Anthony Williams told us: "I'm over the moon to keep Iwan with us as his performances have rightfully attracted a lot of interest from other clubs in the league. Keeping a player of his level I think shows what we're trying to achieve this year and reflects the quality of players we're looking to add into the mix. He's missed one game in two years to suspension, so he's an ever-present in the team, brings fantastic energy on and off the pitch, and is a real leader among the group."
