 Aberystwyth Town FC received notification of the FAW's decision to suspend domestic football in Wales on Friday. We know as a matter of fact that no matches we be played in Wales until 4th April at the earliest.
As a Football Club we appreciate and fully support the guidance from the governing bodies. We are reviewing our activities and will be doing all we can to ensure that the Covid-19 virus is not transmitted via Park Avenue or Aberystwyth Town FC. It is clear that we are facing a public health emergency. Unprecedented measures are being taken in public life and sports clubs must expect to face up and embrace these measures responsibly. Any short term frustrations in terms of loss of football matches must be outweighed by the larger public interest in safeguarding our health. We urge all our supporters to look after and support their friends, families and other vulnerable people in their communities, and to act responsibly as we deal with an unprecedented situation.
